An English eighteenth century cookbook loaded with recipes – albeit in sometimes quirky order (by today’s standards) – for soups, stews, ragouts, puddings, pies, sausage,creams, wines, brandies and numerous varieties of meat, fowl and fish. With diagrams (towards the end) showing how to lay out tables for different seasonal meals. A classic in cooking literature.
